"There is a light that shines beyond all things on earth, beyond us all, beyond the heavens, beyond the very highest, the very highest heavens. This is the light that shines in our hearts" -Chandogya Upanishad
I am a health care crusader and enthusiast who enjoys sharing my love for Yoga and Ayurveda with my community, family, and friends.
I discovered meditation more than a decade ago when I was going through a challenging time in my life, and found the practice healing and transformational. As a result of my daily meditation practice, I began to study and teach both meditation and pranayama (breath work) in my community.
Deciding to deepen my studies in 2010 I completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification at the Yoga Center of Deerfield Beach in my hometown. This brought me to the discovery of Ayurveda and from there everything fell into place. These ancient sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda had changed my life in such profound ways that I enrolled in Kripalu's School of Ayurveda.
In 2013 I graduated from the Kripalu School of Ayurveda as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant, and in 2014 I finished my 500-hour Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist Certification from Kripalu School of Yoga. Recently, I finished a certification in "The Power of Awareness Mindfulness Training" with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach to deepen my practice and teaching of mindfulness meditation.
Upon graduating from Kripalu I went onto finishing a 1-year Ayurvedic Clinical Mentorship with Dr. Claudia Welch, and I maintain ongoing clinical intensive studies with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have also had the privilege to study with some of the world’s most distinguished teachers of Ayurveda including Dr. John Douillard, Dr. Sunil Joshi, Dr. Rosy Mann, Dr. Jyothi Bhatt, Dr. Scott Blossom, and Dr. Satya Narayana Dasa.
When I’m not sharing Yoga and Ayurveda with the community, or doing private consultations and workshops. You can find me swimming, biking, and running. I enjoy the sport of triathlon and use my knowledge to keep others and myself healthy and strong in mind, body, and spirit.
